The pattern represents a White Wisteria on a Blue and Copper background where we discover a Bamboo Forest and a Bridge. Tiny golden leaves are embroidered, further enriching this splendid fabric. The shiny and metallic colours are a reminiscence of the precious Gold which in jewellery, mixed with other materials, creates different shades of colours. When Gold interacts with Indium it creates the rare Blue Gold; when it meets Copper it creates the intense Red Gold, while with Palladium it reveals a paler shade becoming the elegant White Gold.
In Japan, the Wisteria is a symbol of consciousness for its impressive growth and abundance. Its long climbing vines are metaphorically related to the search for New Knowledge and Wisdom, while its longevity symbolises Long-life, Immortality and Endurance. Bamboo too is an important image in the Japanese culture: it symbolises Prosperity and Good Luck; for this reason, it is often recognised as an omen for the New Year.
